#6 Carson Fryer
The league purchased each player a patch to wear in honor of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green (a little league baseball player) who died in the tragic Tucson shootings on January 8, 2011 (Carson's birthday)! Part of the funds raised went to an organization in her memory!
Carson chose once again to wear the #6 after his favorite baseball player, #6 Stephen Drew of the Arizona Diamondbacks!
Carson up to bat! Check out the two videos at the end of this post of him batting!
Carson was so pumped to pitch for the first time! His 12-year-old cousin, Taylor, taught him everything he knows about pitching! And watching countless AZ D-back games helped too!
The first few innings a manually operated lever machine 30 feet back throws around 25-30 mph hard balls! After that kids pitch the balls off the mound! Carson was one of only a few players that wanted the job of pitcher! He absolutely loved pitching!
