The Hello Katy Tour- Katy Perry Concert!

My wonderful husband bought us tickets for my Valentines day gift to the Katy Perry Concert (I'm glad he realized that flowers are just a waste of money)! Mark is secretly in love with Katy! I must say that she is very candid, real, and such a cute girl! I took the above picture in the car and on our way to dinner before the concert (yes, I'm a dork)! We ate at Carlos Santana's new Mexican restaurant, Maria, Maria (named after his Grammy-winning song)! The restaurant was nice, food was good, but overpriced! In our book, nothing can compare to Tia Rosa's.

Mark and I at the Marquee Theatre (Tempe, AZ.) before the concert!

Katy rocking out! I love her style, and songs too! We even got to do the Hokey Pokey!

Gosh, I think I had a little too much fun! I'm not trying to be sexy!

Katy rocked a pink Hello Kitty Guitar and then Rocked a sexy Kitty Suit! I loved it! Thanks to my hubby for a fun night out! The concert reminded me that "We're never to old to have fun"!

Cause You're hot then you're cold, You're yes then you're no.............. and now I'm deaf!

Girls Getaway Trip!

Vegas Baby!
My Mom and I posing at the Hoover Dam on our way to Vegas! Nothing like a road trip without kids! I truly missed all the screaming, fighting, and "Are We There Yet" questions:-)

We kicked our girls trip off by attending the Miss America Pageant preliminary at Planet Hollywood! Our Miss Arizona, Erin Nurss looked amazing in both her swimsuit and evening gown! Pictured with Karisa, my Mom and I are our longtime friends, Kristina and Regina Chesleigh! It was so fun to chat with all the Arizona Cinderella Gang. Don't ya love our Miss Arizona signs we held up and waved around like crazy?!

My Mom and I outside Planet Hollywood posing with Miss America! We still were waving those signs around! You'll have to click on this picture to actually see us.

Don't Cha wish you were hot like us?! Ha! After the Pageant we hit the strip and had a little too much fun!

There are so many things to do and see and eat in Vegas! We started day two off at the Le Village buffet at Paris. The cooked to order crepes and omelets were dang good! We then walked the strip and ended up at the World of Coca-Cola! We enjoyed a nice cold bottle of Coke!

I just love the Coca-Cola mascot! This is one 7- foot loveable Polar Bear! He even gave me a kiss!

My sis and I watching the 3-D movie, I lost My "M" in Vegas at M&M's World! Fun place to visit and shop!

These were the best looking men we could find in Vegas without going to Thunder from Down Under!

Not just another buffet, but an "all you can eat" Sushi buffet! If you are a Sushi lover you have to eat at Sushi on Tropicana! It is in a strip mall a few miles off the strip! You pay $25 for an hour of all you can eat sushi, appetizers, salads and desert! The best thing is that it is all freshly made as you order! We waddled our way out of this place!

Night two of Miss America Pageant Prelims at Planet Hollywood! Miss Arizona, Erin did her talent this night and she rocked the stage! Erin is one amazing dancer and ended up winning a non-finalist talent award!

Mini reunion! I was able to meet up with some of Mark's family that live in Vegas (Henderson)! We ate at the Grand Lux Cafe (Sister restaurant to Cheese Cake Factory) at the Venetian Resort! Pictured with me is Laura (Mark's older sister), Michael (Laura's hubby), Mark's Mom, Sharon (my favorite Mother-in-Law), Mark's little Sister, Lisa and my cute nephew, Ezra!

My sister, Karisa turned 30 while we were in Vegas! And my Mother-in-Law turned 50(?) the next day, so of course we had to celebrate! After dinner at the Grand Lux Cafe we went and saw the Blue Man Group! Thanks to my Brother-in-Law, Michael for getting our tickets free! The show was wild and fun! The music and comedy rock!

Our second show of the night was KA by Cirque du Soleil at the MGM Grand! This was a thrilling show with all the aerial acrobatics! Thanks to my sis-in-law, Lisa for getting us discounted tickets!

No girls trip to Vegas is not complete without a visit to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory!

My favorite part about the tour was the free samples and of course the Chocolate shopping. Buying chocolate is a tough decision!

I came away with one important thought from the Ethel M Chocolate Factory:

I had a great "Girls Getaway Trip" to Las Vegas! My Mom and all three of my sisters want to make an annual tradition of a "Girls only Trip" to somewhere fun! Taking a break from my day to day life was great! It made me want to come home and be a better wife and mother:-) Thanks to my hubby who took three days off work to fill in for me at home. I'm glad he got to see that being a full time Mom is tough work!

D*backs Fan Fest!

With the roof open and the sun shining , baseball was on our minds this past Saturday! We were 5ive of the 10,000 faithful fans that streamed in and out of Chase Field throughout the day!
You better believe wherever #6 Stephen Drew was so were the Fryers! Carson is Stephen's #1 Fan. Carson can write Stephen's name on his own, tell you his professional baseball player brothers names, and won't let us forget that Stephen hit for the cycle last season! Pictured with Stephen is Felipe Lopez.

Two young and excited D*back fans! Aren't their matching jerseys cute?! Santa scored these for over 75% off, for a grand total of $9 each (no lie)!

The Fryer Five sitting in the D*backs dugout!

We got to tour the D*backs home Clubhouse, a place that is not open on the normal ballpark tours. This is Stephen Drew's dressing space! Carson was in awwwww!

Cayden going down the giant slide! This was one of the many activities for kids that were all FREE!

On your mark, get set, GO!!! Cayden and Carson running the high speed dash on Chase Field!

Here we are stalking Stephen Drew and Felipe Lopez! Crazy Carson was yelling Stephen, Stephen and sure enough Stephen gave Carson a big wave and smile!

This is not Stephen Drew, but another great D-back player, Chad Tracy! He was so kind to stop and take a picture with the boys! Don't ya love how Carson grabbed Chad's arm?

Carson was one of the lucky to score a free D-backs hat that Baxter the Bobcat threw out into the audience! Carson had a huge crowd that he had to fight to get his hat autographed!

The most anticipated photograph of the day! Baxter is a hard one to catch!

Mark scored a Randy Johnson(we will miss him as a Dbacker)Jersey out of taking the family to the D*backs Fan Fest! Keira loves her daddy and piggy back rides too! No need for a stroller when daddy is around:-)

Fan Fest was a great way to kick off the 2009 D*back Season!!! We can't wait for Spring Training that is less than two weeks away! Go D-backs!

Queen Mine Underground Tour - Bisbee, Arizona

In January we put on a hard hat, yellow slicker, mining lantern, and got to experience the life of the miners in the tunnels of the Bisbee Queen Mine! It was a cool 47 degrees Fahrenheit underground. I first experienced this mine on a field trip in the fifth grade (my Dad took time out of his busy schedule to be a chaperone). It was so much fun to go back and take my three kids! Keira the sassy little Miner!
Our Mining Crew: Karlie, Karisa, Jaime, Keira, Hallie, Cayden, Taylor and Carson.

Keira and Jaime. Keira's mining outfit kept falling off of her!

Cayden the miner! Can you say EXCITED?!

Carson, Keira and Jaime getting ready to ride the mine train deep into the mine.

My niece Hallie was chosen to ride up front with our tour guide!

Carson and Keira exploring the mine! They both loved every minute of it.

Our tour guide is a miner and he did a great job while we were underground recounting the earlier mining days, techniques, dangers and drama!

A look inside the Mine!

Cayden got the privilege of driving us out of the mine! Go Cay Cay!

We had a blast heading underground and back in time! If only we could of found some copper, gold, turquoise or silver!
