Grandma Cindy can bowl! This was taken after one of her many strikes that she bowled. Keira was so proud of her!

My Mom kicked my butt in bowling! She scored a 130 and I scored 88!

Check that Monkey Burger out!

My SV bestie, Diane, met us at Monkey Burger! Diane surprised Cayden with a gift card to Best Buy for his birthday! Thank you, Diane.

The kids and I with Diane one last time before her big move to New York! We will miss seeing Diane when we go down to Tucson, but are excited to see what the future holds for her. I am already planning my trip to see her in New York!

Most beautiful sunset from my Mom's house in Vail!

The Never-Ending Halloween!

Trick or Treating 2010

The Scarecrow stayed home and passed out the candy!

The Wicked Witch of the West hit the streets for trick-or-treating with the kiddos!

Harry Potter going door to door!

The Sumo Wrestler!

Snow White!

Getting candy and lots of it!

I love how people go all out decorating their yards for Halloween!

Having fun on Halloween!

Keeping the Halloween spirit alive!

Halloween Candy Art by Carson! Carson enjoyed playing with the candy more than he did eating it.

I found Cayden passed out in his room Halloween night with his sonic cup still in his hand! LOL!

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, but it just seemed like it was never going to end this year! I'm sure you know the feeling! Halloween night was a fun filled evening of costumes, candy, and having fun together as a family! It was the fourth day in a row that the kids dressed up in their costumes. The kids got quite the loot of candy! I think we have enough sugar to last us a whole year!

Trunk-or-Treat/Chili Cookoff

Hawes Ward
Saturday, October 30, 2010

The Fryer 5ive: Snow White, Harry Potter, Sumo Wrestler, The Wicked Witch of the West and the Scarecrow!

Since our kids wanted nothing to do with dressing up as characters from the Wizard of Oz (yep, they have a mind of their own), we adopted the adorable Jeppsen kids for the night! Love the Jeppsen's Wizard of Oz costumes (great job, Lindsey)! I still feel bad about making little Dorothy (Bella) cry!

Kitty Cat Brooke and Snow White!

The Scarecrow and his Witch! Thanks Jordan and Lisa for letting us borrow your costumes! Hope we made you proud!

Carson and Cayden did the church Spook Alley over and over!

The Hawes Ward Sumo Wrestlers, Carson and Malie! My Dad, Papa Bear, didn't realize that there was another Sumo Wrestler and couldn't figure out why Carson was ignoring him when he would call his name throughout the party! LOL!

Fancy Nancy (Claire) and Snow White! Can you tell Fancy Nancy is scared of me taking her picture?!

The Barbie Princess (Ashlyn) and Snow White!

I'll get you, my pretty!!!

The wannabe Bull Rider (President Crockett) and the mindless Scarecrow!

I haven't got a brain... only straw!!!

The sexiest Scarecrow in all of Oz!!

Kiss me, baby!

The Wicked Witch of the West and my sister, The Wicked Witch of the East!

Do I look scary? If you can't tell, I had fun being wicked!

Nice light up mouse ears, Papa Bear!

Whassup Scarecrow!

Keira with her Primary teachers, Brother and Sister Gardner! Don't know what that white blob is by Brother Gardner's eye! LOL!

Papa Potter and Snow White!

The Princess and her candy! Thanks to Karisa for buying Keira's cute Mickey Mouse candy bucket while we were at Disneyworld!

I'll get you, my pretty ... and your little dog too! My niece, Lexie, dressed as Dorothy! She didn't know what to think of me, but at least she didn't cry!

Snow White and her cousin, Dorothy Gale from Kansas!

I'm melting, melting!!

Snow White just couldn't put the candy down!

Costumes + friends & family + Chili Cookoff + corn bread+ hot dogs+carnival games+spook house+Trunk-or-Treat = One Awesome Halloween Bash! Our family always looks forward to our Hawes Ward Annual Trunk-or-Treat/Chili Cook off! Mark and I had such a fun time doing our makeup and dressing up for the party! It was a first for Mark to dress in costume (he usually just wears a Halloween shirt), but it won't be the last!!! We have decided from here on out that we will dress up as a couple!
I decided to enter the Chili Cookoff for the first time this year and made a darn good batch of Chipotle Chocolate Chili! Yes, I know it sounds weird, but let me tell you that it tasted soooooooo good and so right! Rumor has it that my chili was one of the top 5 chili's of the night! Next year the award is mine! LOL! It was fun to have Papa Bear, my sis, MacKenzie and her boyfriend, Frank, come and party with us! My sis, Abby, brother-in-law, Kelvin and Lexie stopped by after the party! There is definitely not a dull moment when we are all together!
