Aunt MacKenzie and Uncle Frank came to visit Kobe at the hospital. MacKenzie is having a baby boy in March!

In the afternoon a hospital worker would push this adorable cookie filled buggy around to each of the new mommy rooms to give the moms a cookie! I thought it was so cute!

Kobe's Story

After a false labor alarm and a visit to the hospital at 38 weeks my doctor was surprised to see me at my 39 week appointment. At 39 weeks I was still pregnant and dilated to a 4 so my doctor decided that I should be induced, but after calling the hospital the earliest they could get me in was on my actual due date (Halloween) a week later. So I was scheduled to be induced on Halloween morning, but at 5:00 am that morning the hospital called and told me they would not be able to get me in and would call me when they had a room for me! I went to my 40 week doctor appointment on Halloween and was dilated to a 4 1/2! The doctor offered to strip my membranes once again, but I declined as I already could barely walk and was in a lot of pain! After all the Halloween festivities for the evening, I called the hospital to see if I was any closer to getting a room, but they said that things were still crazy! They told me I could get a call anytime, even in the middle of the night! Sure enough the phone rings at 1:27 am and they said they were ready for me and that I needed to be to the hospital within the next hour! I tried to see if they would let me come in at a normal time in a few hours, but they said that the only reason they called me was that they couldn't reach the person in line before me. If I didn't take this spot I would be moved to the bottom of the list and would not get in for a few more days! I couldn't pass! I took a quick shower and woke the kids up. I had a few friends and family member offer to take the kids in the middle of the night, but I felt bad to bother anyone since they were all probably exhausted from Halloween ! I knew the kids would love to come to the hospital and join in on all the excitement before the birth of their baby brother.

On November 1, 2011 at 2:11 am the Fryer 5ive heading to the hospital!

The last picture of me pregnant at 4:00 am! Hair in a ponytail and no makeup is how I roll this early in the morning! LOL! I was already having some good contractions on my own, but was still in no real pain. The nurse gave me some pitocin to help get things moving along! I knew that since I was already dilated to a 4 1/2 that things would go rather quickly after that! One thing I didn't want to miss out on was getting an epidural and I made sure my nurse knew that! When I was dilated to about a 6, I got me the lovely thing they call an epidural! I was in heaven and at peace knowing that everything would be pain free! After getting a good dose of the epidural, I had them turn the epidural down and then off as my right side was getting way too numb! I continued to stay way too numb on the right side, but it was better than being in any pain!

The kids finally decided to try to get a little rest, but they just couldn't keep their eyes closed and neither could I!

Poor Mark tried to get some sleep, but it was just not happening for any of us! Around 6:35 am my water broke and I knew that our little pumpkin would be here real soon. The doctor came right away as he knows my history and that I have my kids in less than an hour once my water breaks! I called my sister Abby to come take the kids out for breakfast while I delivered! I also sent out a few texts letting family and friends know! The things you can do with an epidural and about to have a baby! The nurse checked me and I was a 6 1/2 and less than 40 minutes later the baby was here and I was ready to push!

As I have done with all of my other kids , I pushed a few times and the little pumpkin was out and with only a little tear to mommy! Thank goodness it is that easy for me! I luck out in that area! Dr. Huish and the nurses all said that the little pumpkin was actually not so little and they all predicted before he was put on the scale that he was somewhere between 9 and 10 pounds! My guess was that he was around 8 pounds! I was so wrong!

Kobe Drew arrived into this world one day late at 7:15 am on Tuesday, November 1, 2011! Dr. Huish delivering the great big pumpkin! Mark came over and cut the umbilical cord! This is my third baby that Dr. Huish has delivered!

The tears just started flowing and I could not control them as I looked at my new baby boy with such joy!

10 pounds! Yes, you are reading that right! The little pumpkin was not so little after all and weighed in at 10 pounds and 21 inches making him officially the great big pumpkin! No wonder I could not walk, sleep or get comfortable! I am not sure if my body will ever be the same!

The great big pumpkin weighing in at 10 pounds! I would of never of guessed it as my baby belly always measured right on at each of my doctor appointments and at 38 weeks an ultrasound was done on the baby and Kobe measured around 7 pounds 11 ounces! Boy, was that machine wrong!

I am so lucky that things went so smoothly with the delivery after seeing how much Kobe weighed!

Big sister, Keira, could not wait to get her hands on her new baby brother shortly after I delivered! Keira would talk to Kobe in my tummy daily as well as kiss and hug my tummy! Such a sweet little girl I have.

It was love at first sight! You could feel the love!

I am so blessed to be the mother to these four! They all love Kobe and always want to help me with him and hold him!

I am truly thankful for Mark and the great daddy he is to our kids! Mark is such a big help and will get right in there and feed, diaper, play with and watch Kobe! There is nothing Mark won't do for his kids!

Little Miss Mommy!

What a neat experience it was for our family to be together at the hospital for those few hours before the birth of Kobe. The hospital room was filled with so much excitement, love and peace!
