Arizona's Capitol complex! The building with the copper dome and statue is Arizona's old State Capitol and is now a museum. Behind the old State Capitol is the current State Capitol!
Across the street from the State Capitol Museum is Monumental park. The park is two blocks and has several monuments. We all had so much fun walking around and checking everything out! Cayden is standing by the Navajo Code Talkers Memorial.
Carson and Keira checking out the Arizona Law Enforcement Canine Memorial. These two are such dog lovers and felt bad seeing the names of all the dogs that have died in the line of duty.
The 9/11 Memorial.
The anchor of the battleship USS Arizona that sunk in Pearl Harbor. Mark and I were able to go to Hawaii a few years back and see the sunken ship and memorial at Pearl Harbor. What a sight to see!
All the names of the sailors and Marines that died on the USS Arizona ship our listed on this memorial.
The Capitol was pretty much a ghost town except for the bike race going on. The kids loved watching the bikers and cheering them on every time they came around.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This memorial is special to our family as my Uncle Bruce Lynn Goodsell (Papa Bear's oldest brother) died in the line of duty in the Vietnam War! My Uncle Bruce was only 25 years old and married with a baby boy when he died.
