Summer Fun in Sierra Vista and Bisbee!

July 2010

While in Sierra Vista, we traveled over to Bisbee three different days to go and watch my 12 year old nephew, Taylor, play in the All Star games. Bisbee is an old mining town!

Taylor up to bat! Taylor hit an awesome home run way out of the ball field and brought three runs in for the Sierra Vista National All Stars!

Taylor on the pitching mound! I was so nervous for him.

Keira with her cousins, Jaycie and Karlie! They had a ton of fun at the ball park eating and playing.

The blue eyed cousins, Karlie, Keira, Jaycie, and Lexie waiting for game two to start.

Grandma Cindy and Keira. Grandma Cindy drove down from Tucson to watch Taylor play baseball!

Yours truly, my friend, Misty, and her daughter, Dominique. Misty's son, Desmond, plays on my nephew's team. Misty and I have been friends since we were 12. She was one of my bridesmaids. I can't believe Dominique is going to be a Freshman in High School this year!

My sister, Karisa, and her son, Taylor, after game one! The Sierra Vista National All Stars won!

Look what we found! It's our old family van that we sold years ago! This is the car I learned how to drive in! LOL! Aww, the memories.

Carson and cousin, Taylor! Carson was in baseball heaven watching Taylor play! Carson and Cayden had fun chasing all the foul balls because if you returned the ball to the snack bar, you would get a treat.

Keira and cousin, Karlie, laughing their heads off in the back of Papa Bear's truck! Papa Bear put the back window down in his truck and the girls thought it was so fun to have the wind blowing their hair everywhere!

After the game, we had dinner at the famous Jimmy's Hot Dog Company in Bisbee! I love this place.

The yummy Chicago Dog! Thanks Jimmy for the hats!

Love this picture of my niece, Jaycie, eating her wiener!

Sierra Vista has an awesome indoor/outdoor aquatic center! Carson loved this slide as well as the other tube water slides!

Cayden and cousin, Taylor, loved the wild wave pool!

Sierra Vista had some monsoon rain and the kids loved playing in it!

Keira was so cute playing in the rain! She would just lay her head back and ride up and down the street in the rain.

Keeping the Tooth Fairy in business

Carson trying to yank his tooth out!
I so wanted to pull the tooth out for Carson, but he wanted to do it all by himself!

Carson's first official pulled tooth since the first two were knocked out a year ago!

The tooth in the bag! I think Cayden put Carson up to writing this! Cayden is famous for writing letters to the tooth fairy asking for gifts! LOL!

The next day during church, Carson yanked another tooth out! Four down, sixteen more to go! I'm lovin' Carson's gummy grin!

Red, White and Blue Celebration!

July 3, 2010

The D-backs hosted an All-American weekend, in celebration of Independence Day! Mark and I decided to pack the family up and head to downtown Phoenix for a night! Papa Bear, cousin, Taylor, and my sister, MacKenzie joined us too! We had an awesome time eating at our favorite downtown Mexican Restaurant, America's Taco shop, swimming at the hotel, watching the D-back vs Dodger game and seeing the fireworks from the rooftop restaurant! You don't get much more American than baseball and fireworks!

Carson, Taylor and Cayden checking into our hotel, the Hyatt Regency! This time we scored our rooms on Priceline at $48 a night! Score!

We rode the famous "Glass Elevator" up to the 24th floor and down at least 100 times! The kids think it is like riding Disney's "Tower of Terror"! Cayden and Taylor captured it all on their DSi!
Hanging out poolside! Sexy!

The kiddos having fun in the pool at the Hyatt!

Cayden actually asked me to take this picture! What?

The boys dressed and ready for the D-back game!

We found the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile parked in front of CHASE Field! Just the sight of it made me hungry! The Hotdoggers gave us our very own Wienerwhistles!

Carson, Keira, Cayden and Taylor waiting for a player to throw them a ball!

MacKenzie and I had fun annoying all the Dodger fans by blowing our Oscar Mayer Weinerwhistles!

Papa Bear and Carson. Carson cracks me up with his batting glove on! So cute:-)

This was Keira's idea of taking a picture with Baxter!

We met our neighbors, Ava and Zoe, for some fun at the Peter Piper Playhouse!

Carson trying to get on the Kiss Cam! I'm not sure who he planned on kissing!

Cayden swinging away in the batting cage!

One of the four new D-backs legend mascots, Mark Grace!

The 10-foot tall Randy Johnson legend!

We left the game a little early to head back to our hotel and up to the 24th floor to the revolving Compass Restaurant! This restaurant revolves slowly atop the hotel and the views are awewsome! Mark made reservations so that we could watch the D-back fireworks spectacular and eat some yummy dessert!

Rooftop fireworks viewing and dessert..............amazing! We all thought this was the coolest restaurant we had ever been to! Thanks Papa Bear for the yummy dessert:-)

Papa Bear came for a visit!

We got to spend a fun Saturday with Papa Bear!
Papa took us to see Marmaduke! Such a cute dog movie!

Carson talked Papa into taking him to his favorite motorcycle store!

Keira had me laughing with all her poses!

Carson could spend hours trying out all the different motorcycles, ATVs, etc.! He actually has his own savings account at the bank and is saving up for a red 50 kids dirt bike!

We went to Vertuccio Farms to check out the farmers market and animals!

Papa took us out to Gecko Grill for some yummy Mexican food and then we went to my sister Abby's house to swim!

Abby made Papa Bear a yummy cake in honor of his 60th Birthday that was coming up in a few days after his visit!

Singing Happy Birthday to Papa!

We love when Papa comes to visit! Thank you, Papa!
